arkansas state cinderella pageant

over the weekend lauren was crowned 2010-2011 arkansas state cinderella tiny tot!!!! i'm so proud of her!!! i love the cinderella pageant system!!!! i did cinderella pageant growing up and it was my favorite pageant to do. especially the state pageant. two days of fun, fun, fun!!! lauren had a blast at the pj party and prince gilbert party(frog). she danced her little butt off. i will say she was a little wild but she is two. i wish we could do the international pageant next month but we will be in georgia. i'm so glad she is the reigning state queen. even though she is a baby and won't be able to do the things the older queens do i'm still going to enjoy putting her in parades and hopefully she'll get to go to the cabot prelim as well as crown at the state pageant next year. :) who knows maybe one day she'll be state tot, mini miss, miss, or teen.

got2b smooth operator

well one day i was reading my friend faith's blog and she was talking about being a bzzagent. you can join campaigns and get free samples and coupons and then report back on how you liked or disliked the product. i thought this sounded like a fun so i went and joined. my first campaign is the got2b smooth operator. i got it in the mail about a week ago and gave it a shot and.... i really liked it! my hair smelled so good!! not only did it smell good but it also looked healthy and shiny and was super soft. i'm not exagerating. i really like the product and have continued to use it. they also make smooth operator mousse, drops, and hairspray. i plan on trying the mousse. i got some great coupons too. one is a by one get one free. i can't wait to join another bzzcampaign and test another product. i'm still going to spread bzz about this product too. it is a great product.

strawberry festival pageant

well it has been a long time since i have blogged! today was the strawberry festival pageant here in cabot. lauren did it last year (it ws her very first pageant). she got photogenic and 2nd runner up. today we did not get anything and it was expected. we did not have a good day. it was 100 degrees and her hair fell and she was a little hellion! lol!! i know there will be plenty of pageant where she doesn't get anything. i did pageants growing up and there were a bunch that i didn't get anything in. i'm pissed because they combined her group with the one year olds. there were three in lauren's group and three in the one year old group. i don't believe there was any reason to combine these groups. if they hadn't then everybody would have gotten something. i was told by different people that this pageant is rigged and i still put her in it. iwill not be putting her in it next year.

in other news... we will be doing the state cinderella pageant in june. this pageant is very close to my heart and i hope she does her very best. and it is in hot springs my favorite town!!!!!

chris is looking for us a boat. lauren is going to love it i'm sure. he wants a fish and ski and i want a ski. i told him whatever makes him happy because i love him.

miss magness creek pageant

Lauren won wee miss magness creek Saturday. i don't know how many more of these i can take. lol!! it was hot, hot in that gym. in the other two pageants we have done she has wanted me, but this time she was a daddy's girl. she wanted her daddy every time. i was surprised i could get her to smile on stage. she also had not had her nap and was hot and tired. when it came to the crowning and they were about to announce the winner i was a wreck. i was looking at who was left and wondering whether this was going to be the one when she doesn't get anything. i know that eventually she will have one of those. :( everybody does.

the day had already been along one, but it was a good one!! Chris smoked some ribs and a pork butt and family came over. Lauren had a blast seeing her mamaw Lisa, pappaw Jim, paw paw Larry and maw maw Bobbie. we tried to roll her hair but it turned out awful. I'm sure though as hot as it was in there that if it would have curled, it would have fallen. poor child has her mother's hair. of course it she had her daddy's curly hair i wouldn't know what to do with it. now we get ready for Georgia. we leave this Fri or sat. can't wait!!!!!!!

we went to maw maw's betty's yesterday. aunt jamie and the girls flew in from florida and it was great to see them!! we spent the whole day with them!! alex and avery are growing up so fast. it makes me feel so OLD!! they are gorgeous! i hadn't seen jameson in a long time. she is four now and so cute. her and lauren had the best time. they even took a bath together. maw wasn't doing to well. she had a crick in her neck and ended up having to go the hospital this morning. hope she gets better. uncle phil, lyn, lynsey, and ryne also came up. alex asked me if ryne and chris were biffles. i did not know what a biffle was!! i'm really getting old. if anybody else doesn't know it's a best friend. i'll try to write me later about our trip. we stayed in monticello at chris's moms house and our ride down there tues turned out to be a little scary and i don't mean from the weather.

saturday was lauren's aunt melissa's wedding. (chris's stepsister) it was a beautiful wedding. lauren was a flower girl and she did so good. she walked down the aisle, came right to me, and sat down. every now and then she would say somethng out loud, like when a lady got up to sing she asked me who that was and when she sat down she said, "where go?" it was cute. it was a Hawaiian themed wedding and if FELT like it. lol. nobody turned the air on in the church. then after the ceremony lauren found a slide in one of the rooms in the church and she didn't want to leave. finally got her out of there to take pictures then we went to the reception. lauren wanted all of the little umbrellas and had both hands full of them. we didn't stay long at the reception. we had to get back on the road. our next stop grandma lillian's.

we had a wonderful time at grandma's. aunt joyce was there and it was nice visit. lauren though acted so shy like she had never met either one of them before. she didn't even want to play with grandma's dog frosty.

next we went to the jr. high auditorium to watch alyssa in a pageant. it was great being back in that auditorium. it still looked and smelled the same. brought back alot of good memories. (all my dance recitals were held there) alyssa was so pretty and she had a beautiful dress on. she won most beautiful, photogenic, and 1st runner up. i really thought she should have won and especially should have won best fashion. that dress was so pretty.

we finally ended the night at maw maw's in hampton. she was glad we finally made it. uncle scott came up and lauren had the best time wearing him out. sunday paw paw larry came and uncle scott came back and we all had alot of fun. we left that night about six and headed home. it was great coming home and seeing chris. we missed him so much. we had already celebrated father's day with him on friday but we came him his cards when we got home.

today was so hot!!!! we had to go into little rock and take a dress back that i had ordered online from old navy. poor little lauren's checks were so red from the back seat being hot. then we had to go to best buy. lauren got her a new blues clues dvd. she LOVES blues clues. anyway i know this blog is really about nothing. i'm just bored. lol!! i'll have a lot to blog about after i get home sunday. we have a wedding this weekend, then off to grandma's in camden, watching alyssa in a pageant and then off to maw's in hampton. all in one day. what fun!!

Trip to Monticello

Chris's three day weekend was last weekend. We ended up going to what we are calling our get-a-way place. His mom and step dad recently bought some more land down from where they live in Monticello. It is 80 acres with a barn and a double wide with a built on porch and it's fenced in which is GREAT for Lauren. So that is our get-a-way place. we had a blast. Granny Beth (Chris's mom) had bought Lauren a swimming pool last year but we never used it. so we brought it with us and blew it up she loves it. the child is an outdoors gal. her daddy loves that. the only prob on the trip we had was the air went out one day. we had it fixed by that night though. Saturday night Lauren spent the night with granny Beth. it was the first time me and Chris had been alone in along time. i tried to remember the last time and i think it was in April. we had a good time but we missed the little boo bear like crazy. she of course wasn't worried about us. she had a blast with her granny. they went shopping( of course she got lots of stuff) and she helped her cook and clean. when she came to the house the next day i wanted to laugh because i thought she looked like beth. she had a ball cap on and looked like she was ready to work outside. she was cute.
